Road Runner cases and bags are designed to fit most standard size electric guitars, electric basses, dreadnaught acoustic guitars, classical guitars, acoustic basses, round-back acoustic guitars, hollowbody guitars, acoustic drums, cymbals and hardware, keyboards, pro-audio and DJ gear. For product-specific DJ cases, please visit an authorized dealer for availability.

Road Runner molded and wood cases include a lock and key. Bags and ATA-style cases do not include a lock, but do include a lockable feature. You must provide your own lock.

Yes, we can send you a replacement key if you provide an address to send to. However, we changed factories in early 2010 and thus we do not have any replacement keys for Road Runner cases purchased before September of 2010. If you have an older Road Runner case and you need a replacement key, most locksmiths will offer such keys for a small fee.

Yes, Road Runner bags include a shoulder strap.

Yes, you can take your instrument on an airline in a Road Runner case. However, as most of our cases are not ATA-style-rated, we strongly suggest you carry the item on the plane with you and store it in an overhead compartment.

ATA stands for Air Transport Association. Cases with an official ATA rating are considered suitable for air travel.

A Road Runner Hybrid case features the same structural integrity and interior design as a molded or wood case with the lightweight exterior design of a gigbag.

Dreadnought is the most common sized acoustic or acoustic/electric guitar. Unless otherwise noted, your acoustic guitar is most likely a dreadnought size and will fit nicely in a Road Runner acoustic case or bag.

Standard size fits 12″, 13″ and 16″ toms. Fusion size fits 10″, 12″ and 14″ toms. The bass drum is 22″ and snare drum is 14″ in both configurations. Click here to see our selection.

The State of California has adopted what is referred to as “Proposition 65,” which is the “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.” Any company that operates in California, sells products in California, or manufactures products that may be sold in or brought into California is subject to Proposition 65. Because our products are sold in California, Proposition 65 applies to us.

Proposition 65 requires warning labels on any product that may contain any of 770-plus elements that the California Environmental Protection Agency considers a carcinogen or a reproductive toxicant. These elements include lead (sometimes contained in the solder used to attach electronic parts to the printed circuit boards), brass, PVC and a multitude of other everyday elements. The list of elements changes often, making it difficult to keep track of the changing list of elements.

There are penalties for not complying with Proposition 65. Failure to label products may result in civil penalties. If a company’s product is sold or is purchased outside the State of California and brought into California, the company may still be found in violation.

Various trade organizations have issued notices to manufacturers warning of Proposition 65 and its implications. Included in the warnings were suggested methods of protection from Proposition 65 litigation and violations. Protection requires warning consumers about the possibility of dangers from products. A warning label such as the one we use is considered to comply with warning consumers.

We are providing warnings in an excess of caution and they should not be taken as an admission that a warning is required. The label does not necessarily indicate our products will cause you to contract cancer or reproductive harm if used as designed.
